TOP 5 Places in Singapore for Prenatal Pilates & Yoga

Prenatal Pilates and Yoga have been my go-to for staying active, toned and feeling good throughout my pregnancy. If you’re an expecting mom like me, you’ll want to find the best classes where you feel safe, supported, and challenged in just the right way. Here are my top 5 favourite studios that offer prenatal Pilates and yoga classes.

1. Active Hive Wellness & Yoga Studio

Location: 41 Jalan Pemimpin, #03-07, Singapore 577186

Why I love it: The friendly instructors, intimate class sizes, and serene atmosphere make each session a pleasure. My prenatal couple yoga with Agnes was especially memorable. She was incredibly patient, not only guiding me as the main focus but also helping my husband with posture corrections throughout the session. It was such a special experience to share this journey with my partner in such a relaxing environment.

2. Altum Pilates

Location: 1 Tanglin Road, #04-16, Orchard Rendezvous Hotel, Singapore 247905

Why I love it: Altum’s small class sizes offer a personalized experience. I mainly trained with Nicole Chung, trying a variety of exercises on the reformer, mat, chair, and yoga ball, which kept things interesting. In my third trimester, I had two sessions with Jane Fok, including a one-on-one where she taught me a breathing technique called "hugging the baby," which was invaluable for my home practice and during delivery. I always leave Altum feeling revitalized.

3. Focus Movement

Location: 22 Malacca Street, #08-00, RB (Royal Brothers) Capital Building, Singapore 048980

Why I love it: Although Focus Movement has larger group classes than other studios, Jessie Choi’s instructions were clear and easy to follow. Her classes are fantastic for building muscle tone, improving alignment, and enhancing flexibility—key areas for moms-to-be. The sessions are primarily reformer-based but include some mat work that I can easily continue at home.

4. COMO Shambhala

Location: 30 Bideford Road, COMO Orchard Level 4, Singapore 229922

Why I love it: COMO Shambhala was my introduction to prenatal workouts during my first trimester, and it instantly impressed me. The studio focuses on spinal alignment, toning birthing muscles, and promoting stamina and relaxation for both body and mind. Lay Peng Cham, my instructor, was highly attentive and created a strong sense of community within the class.
