Degustation Singapura

Sunday, July 24, 2011

Today I explored a amazing place "Chinatown". You all should know where is it right? haha It is rare for me to go there for a walk and especially a hot weather like today. My main purpose to go there is to the Heritage Centre to know more about Chinatown history.

When I reach there I saw this temple and I'm feeling curious so I went in to take a look.

Alaca Vidyaraja, guardian deity for person born in the year of rooster.

I weren't meant to dress like that, just that I'm wearing a skirt and a sleeveless top so I have to borrow their clothing to cover myself up, this is a kind of respect.

After the temple, here we are to the Chinatown Heritage Centre is located at Pagoda street.

It is a 3 storey museum, at there I studied about how people live in Chinatown during the past and many kind of history. Gonna share with you something I read that is interesting "During the past women drink snake blood to achieve beautiful skin." This is cool, anyone know place that sell reptile soup? I feel like giving it a try.

So sorry that I do not have any photo taken in the museum because photo taking are not allowed inside.

But I got something to share, again ^^ it's FOOD! We had our lunch at the Heritage Restaurant.

A Steak Day

Sunday, July 17, 2011

Had my dinner at Padi's Point Cafe & Restaurant with Maoqi today, sorry I'm putting light make up today so look a bit different from other photo.

They only have one outlet in Singapore and is located at Toa Payoh, just across the HDB Hub is above KFC.
If you're a sport fan you will sure love this place! There are projector screens across the restaurant to telecast highly charged sports programmes like the EPL and F1 Grand  Prix when available.

Ordered three set of main course as Maoqi is having Teriyaki Steak,

Rib Eye Steak

Pork Cordon Bleu

Seafood Pizza

Their pizza curst is thin and crispy. This is something new, they used sliced tomato as their base instead of tomato sauce, you should try it!

Forget to mention the drinks that I had is called Green Goblin.

This is a preview of their concept

Cafe Del Mar

Saturday, July 16, 2011

So sorry, won't be elaborating much in this post. Went Sentosa on the 14 of July 2011 with Shiting, actually wanted to go Wavehouse but we both over slept so we went Cafe Del Mar instead. This time we walk into Sentosa by the Sentosa BoardWalk.

After trying many kind of their signature cocktail Strawberry Sangria is still my favourite.

How I wish I had a house, at the back of it there's my own personal swimming pool so I can swim whenever I want and when I'm stress I can sit at the side of the pool to relax and have my drinks. How wonderful is it. Only if I wish.

A demonstration of GPS Tracker

"Great Pizza Service Tracker" which allows customers the added convenience to keep tabs on the status of their food order from the moment it is ordered to the moment it leaves the store for delivery.

Having Cheese Burst Pizza with Chilli Chicken toppings, amongst 4 of them that I've tried I love this topping the most. Did not tried Extravaganzza as I was too full.

We had a tour in their kitchen, their store is kept in the temperature of 0Celsius to -4Celsius to maintain the freshness of the ingredients.
After the tour all of us got a chance to do hands-on, each of us did a pizza our own using the Classic Hand Tossed Curst and I choose the most classic Hawaiian Paradise topping. It was a very fun and interesting experience.
With the oven heat of 470Fahrenheit your food will be done in 3 minute, and they ensure you to get your food within 30 minute.

The outcome of my pizza, not very perfect as it was my first attempt.
"Good job Serene" an encouragement to myself haha

I think the staff might have some magical hands as they can almost know the weight of every ingredient just by grabbing them.
