Travelling from Singapore to Bali - Things to prepare for pre-daparture (Post-Covid)

I'm finally stepping out of Singapore after 2 years to clear my travel list!
Preparation to take flight can be daunting and I'm here to make it better.

Bali Pre-depature Check List:
(as of 8 April 2022 departure)

  • Proof of full vaccination
  • Negative PCR Test taken 48hr prior to departure
  • Covid recovery cert (if any, not compulsory)
  • Hold a travel insurance policy with a minimum coverage of US$25,000.
  • Negative PCR Upon arrival at Bali
  • Install the PeduliLindungi contact tracing app on your personal device and register an account.
  • Complete the e-HAC (Health Alert Card) via the PeduliLindungi app
Copy and paste the above to your notepad / send it to your friends!

Read on to find out how to get the above documents and what to do with it.

Proof of full vaccination

When travelling, your TraceTogether and HealthHub is not going to be useful anymore!

Travellers who are vaccinated in Singapore and are required by foreign authorities to show digitally verifiable proof of vaccination should obtain a digitally verifiable vaccination certificate. I got my Vaccination HealthCerts digitally authenticated and endorsed from Notarise.

Remember to save them as PDF in your phone and print out a hardcopy!
Will come in handy later...

Negative PCR Test taken 48hr prior to departure

All ready for PCR Test. (Left to Right: Me, Priscilla, Huimin)

I did my COVID-19 PCR SWAB for pre-departure at swabstation, reason being the cheapest in Singapore at $88 NETT. Went around 3pm, and result was out the next day morning.

They even XPRESS COVID-19 PCR SWAB at $288. If done before 3pm, you will get your results & travel memo on the same day before 12 midnight. Estimated ~8 hours from the time lab receives the sample.

On the day of the test, travellers should bring the following documents to the clinic:
  • Identity card (for Singapore Citizens, Permanent Residents, and Long-Term Pass Holders)
  • Passport
  • Flight booking details showing the departure timing
Don't forget to bring your passport like me, I ended up needed to enroute home to get it! Priscilla on another hand called her parent to bring over for her.

So the result came out next day via SMS and E-mail to show that I am negative, which means I'm good to travel. However, Huimin who has never gotten covid before was swabbed positive so she had to stay in Singapore despite rescheduling her flight.

P.S. We are travelling with a large group and some of us decided to visit Bali early.

Also, remember to save your result as PDF in your phone and print out a hardcopy!

Covid recovery cert (if need, not compulsory)

Incase you get covid before and your PCR is still negative, call 6874 4939 and press speak with staff option, they will provide you with a website to request for the cert.

Hold a travel insurance policy with a minimum coverage of US$25,000.

We gotten our group travel insurance from Singlife, it's always cheaper to buy in group compared to individually.

Negative PCR Upon arrival at Bali

Upon arrival at the hall there will be a queuing station and here's where you'll need get ready your documents in hardcopy:

Install the PeduliLindungi contact tracing app on your personal device and register an account.

Before this you'll need to get your Vaccination HealthCerts digitally authenticated and endorsed from Notarise.
