Yaowarat (Chinatown), In the mood for love sushi bar

I cannot believe that we only spend Day 2 visiting one place when we are in Bangkok.

Or is it I have a lost of memory?

In today itinerary we are suppose to go to Yaowarat which is the Thailand Chinatown. (ONLY?!)

We set off at 2pm to the nearest BTS from our hotel at Wongwian Yai station and alighted at Sala Daeng BTS station to change to Silom MRT station. Bought a "token" from there in order to go to Hua Lamphong MRT which is the nearest station to Yaowarat.

Instead of a card, token was used to tap on the MRT entrance in-order to enter. I wow-ed the moment I saw this, and also the MRT was using a way higher technology than the BTS however the interior cannot be compared.

Their MRT is also not as packed as BTS maybe because the route they go does not have many place of interest

YAY! First time sitting on a tuk-tuk together

I suggest you take a tuk-tuk or meter taxi straight from your hotel to Yaowarat because it is going to be a long walk from the MRT.

Yaowarat

Hmmm, what are the farang's doing?
The word "farang" are used among Thai's addressing a European or other foreigner.

Soo.... there is this politician event going on making the street packed with noisy people

Any idea on rotating this?(turn your head)

Yaowarat usually carry a lot of wholesale accessories so I don't see any point coming here if I am not going to buy anything

My main purpose of coming to Yaowarat is for Bird nest!

There are many bird nest and shark fins restaurant that can be found here but I am going for this particular one "Nam Sing Bird Nest"

We ordered Egg Shark Fin, 3rd grade Bird Nest and 2nd grade Bird Nest for our brunch, only cost a total of 1,500 baht(approx. 50sgd). Cheap or what?!

Later we went for a massage nearby, massage at this area is strongly not recommended! We went in because of the free Wi-Fi they provided but their massage service was a disappointment.

Later we took a BTS to Thong Lo station to have dinner with my boyfriend cousins, look how the BTS are packed with people! Three train has pass until it is our turn to board. I suggest you to move into the center of the platform in-order board the train fast.

In the mood for love sushi bar

Perhaps the best interior sushi bar I have been to, item names on the menu are unique too but location is kind of hard to locate. Boyfriend have also planned a small birthday surprise for me as the next day is my birthday.

Happy-to-get-her(top) 380 baht (Approx. $15.20sgd)

I am truly sorry that I can't remember all the name for the dishes I have tried. We have also tried other dishes such as Very Salmon, it is a sushi roll with cucumber and avocado topped with salmon.

Love the wash room design too

Have also discover a night market that is not-so-popular among the non-local at Udom Suk BTS, reached there around 11:00 pm and most of the stall is already close. You should try visiting if you are staying somewhere nearby. Last but not least how can I go back to the hotel empty handed?!

I drop by Siam BTS as I saw that their night market is still not close and here are my buys from the night market located right opposite MBK
