Grand Alpine Hotel, Pantip Plaza, Platinum Mall

Woke up early in the morning and prepare to set off to our next hotel at Pratunam area. Staff at Bangkok Loft Inn help us to get a taxi making sure that we can reach our next destination safety. I wish that we could stay here for our whole Bangkok trip but sadly we have already purchase an deal for a hotel.

This is the standard taxi fare in Thailand, I saw this chart in the taxi and decided to capture it so that you all can have a reference

Grand Alpine Hotel

“Not a good place to stay in.” Rating: 2/5
I was there on the 25th - 28th December 2013. When I got there by taxi and was shocked to see how remotely the hotel was located, the hotel staff said they have free tuktuk service from the hotel to the nearest bts station, which I think is good but when I use the tuktuk service, the driver brought us to a street and told us to walk towards the bts which was at least 100m away. Returning to the hotel at night is another problem, can't walk back from main street because it's too dark and dangerous plus its not a short walk. Have to take a tuktuk or a taxi to go there. The hotel provide ONLY a bathe towel and 2 bottles of complimentary drinks. There are some weird smell when I on the aircon and the water heater is not very good, as in the hot water come and go and the basin is outside the bathroom. There are no "please clean my room" or "do not disturb" tag, when I was sleeping and suddenly a cleaner knocked my room door and come in just like that! What if i'm bathing or changing? Street stall can be found on our way in and out of the hotel, however the road is very cramp so DO NOT ever take a taxi in. (Find our way in also got problem lor I tell you.)

Lucky we have hotel tuk-tuk service to shuttle us out. Reason why is because there's no way you can get a cab here, maybe there's a possible for tuk-tuk but most of the tuk-tuk driver here only wants your money.

Pantip Plaza

Upon reaching our next destination the tuk-tuk driver drop us at a minor road asking us to alight and we were told to walk there by foot, he did not send us to our destination cause it was inconvenient for him.

So here we are, after a short walk we arrive at Pantip Plaza. We have to cross the bridge in order to reach there. CAUTION: The steps is very high and bumpy, I fell down while climbing up.

Pantip Plaza is a mall that sells IT related stuffs, similar to Singapore Sim Lim Square

Platinum Mall

Walk out from Pantip Plaza, turn right then walk all the way straight and here we are at Platinum Mall.
Platinum is a hotel and a mega mall that sells clothes and accessories, you may even find some stall with wholesale price. Food stall are hardly to be seen here.

What's good about this mall is they have prayer room for our Muslim friends

Outside Platinum Mall you will be able to see a flea market, some items they are selling here are handmade and quirky.

Because we arrive at the mall near to their closing time so most of the shops is already closed but we are lucky enough to find this shop that sell wholesales self design t-shirts and we bought lots of them.

They are located at Level 4,
